FINGERPRINTS OF THE GODS
Author - Graham Hancock
Review by
Cody Wamsley

If you have never thought of the Earth as a giant piece of machinery, grinding away
throughout
the days, years, and millennia as it continues its journey across the heavens,
then that perspective
might just change once you have read Fingerprints of the Gods.
And, certainly, once you have digested Graham Hancock’s masterpiece and considered the implications
of a possible malfunction of that
machine – you might think of it as a “slipped gear” effect – you could easily find yourself losing sleep
at night. For the big question left unanswered by this rather long book is as profound as it is troubling.
The core concept of the book is Hancock’s discussion of precession; what he calls the “machinery of Heaven”. It is a detailed treatise on the Earth’s axis of rotation and the “wobble” of our planet that
is scientific fact. This is key to understanding planetary cycles of the past and what the author
believes may happen in the not-too-distant future. The striking analogy of the planet as a giant, perpetually grinding machine is clear in these chapters.
Though Hancock does not endorse the idea directly, he presents convincing evidence for a future orldwide cataclysmic event that staggers the imagination in its horror and destructive potential. Many mainstream historians and traditional scientists will take issue with this work. Along the path leading to his frightening conclusions, the author builds the case for ancient civilizations that were technologically and scientifically advanced, addresses the Mayan calendar system, and postulates that “near-total destructions of mankind” have occurred, not once, but several times in the planet’s long history and, because they are part of a regular cycle, are likely to occur again.
Make no mistake about it. The reader will not come away with a safe, contented feeling after finishing Fingerprints of the Gods. It is not a “happy” book. And to be sure, the text is somewhat laborious. But for those interested in this and related subjects, it may prove to be one of the most interesting reads of their life. This publication is not new - it has been around since 1995 and is often considered the “bible” of many who are interested in ancient civilizations that are not mentioned in conventional histories.
From an intriguing ancient Egyptian-Mesoamerican connection to biblical tie-ins to theories of past civilization-ending events to what it all may portend for our future – it is all there in Fingerprints of the Gods. It is a serious work of history and scientific non-fiction that any student of the past – as it relates to the future - should find fascinating.

THE ALIEN CHRONICLES
Author: Matthew Hurley
Review by
Gwen Farrell

This book is subtitled "Compelling Evidence for UFOs and
Extraterrestrial Encounters
in Art & Texts Since Ancient Times", and it
certainly is that. If you like books with
pictures, you will love this
one, for, while it contains some fascinating text, it's
really the many
pictures that make this book so impressive and so much fun. It is the
premise
of the book that in order to fully appraise the UFO phenomenon,
one needs to travel back
through time to the distant past and examine
the clues and evidence left behind by the artists
who experienced them
first-hand or were contemporaries of those who did.
Contained in this
book are over 150 images of works of art spanning the ages that provide
unmistakable proof of the existence of UFOs. Who or what these things
are still remains to be
seen, and this book doesn't attempt to answer
those questions, but merely shines a light on them.
UFOs and related
phenomenon have a real history of their own that is woven among and just
below
the surface of the history that we are all famliar with. It is so
pervasive that it covers nearly
all time periods, all cultures and all
of the inhabited continents of the Earth. In this book,
Matthew Hurley
presents much of that history in visual form. Beginning with ufology
today, the
author takes the reader on a visual tour of historical
events, creation stories, prehistoric artists, UFOs in western religious
art, historical UFO accounts, out of place artifacts and UFOs in early
photography. Unless you've already seen this book, you won't believe
your eyes (and I dare any
skeptic to explain the strange object depicted
on page 94!). As you can probably tell, I really love this book and I
think it should be part of the library of anyone who cares about the
accurate and unvarnished presentation of human history, whether they
believe in UFOs or not.
I ordered this book from the website www.ufoartwork.com for $35 and
received it in a week. You can get it at Amazon, but it's $59.78 there.
Also, there is a short documentary on YouTube entitled "UFO's In Ancient
Art" that includes a few of the images from the book. Check that out and
then buy the book.
It's a winner!
